Liver ‘pate’

Pate is my favorite food, which reminds me of France. Its texture is soft, but the taste is full and you can actually feel the iron making you strong while eating it. It is very nutritious and primal. If you have problems with your blood and are just at the beginning of the paleo way of living, I highly recommend this ‘pate’. But remember to buy organic livers, since livers are an organ that decleans the blood. This means all the toxins are stored in there. So it’s even more important to watch what you are using.

Liver 'pate'

Recipe for Liver ‘pate’

  • 40 decagrams of livers
  • 2 big onions
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • parsley
  • salt
  • 70 grams of ghee (room temperature)
  • 3 tblsp of ghee
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs
  • pepper (a pinch)

First cook eggs and let them cool down. Then finely chop onions and livers. Fry the onions until golden. Add livers and fry them until they are golden brown. Then add garlic (do not add garlic until then because garlic can turn bitter if it’s fried for too long). Add parsley and wait until livers are cooled to a room temperature.

Now put all the ingredients into a mixer and mix until it becomes spreadable.

Use our paleo bread or salad as a base to eat it.
