Make Ahead Recipes
Make ahead meals are a sure way to feed
your family nutritional meals even when the week gets busy and
hectic! Feeding our family meals that are nutritionally
sound is important for their health's sake. With a little
planning ahead we can be sure to give our families consistent
healthy meals.
- You're having guests for dinner but you know the day is
going to be chaotic.......
- You're going to be gone for the day but you want the
family to eat a home cooked meal together........
- You're going out of town for a few days and you want a
few dishes in the freezer ready for the family to pop into
the oven.......
I'm sure you can think of many other scenarios where make
ahead meals would be a convenience for a busy mom that also
knows home cooked meals are by far the wisest choice for her
families nutritional needs. Store bought processed meals
may be quick but they are also nutritionally void. Our
families deserve better.
Planning ahead for the sake of your families health will
reap rich rewards. You'll not only feel better about your
choices but your family will appreciate your efforts too.
Make ahead meals can be as simple as doubling (or tripling)
a recipe once or twice a week when you're making a family
favorite which can then be stored in the freezer for those
hectic days. What a nice feeling knowing that when a day
gets too busy and you're unable to think about making dinner,
you don't have to be tempted to go get nutritionally void fast
food. Dinner is in the freezer!
